Newmarket, NH (September 21, 2006) - New Hampshire based
DTVMusic, a provider of customized, therapeutic, music television
programming for the hospital setting announced today that
it has signed an affiliation agreement for 4 DTVMusic channels
to be broadcast throughout the Portsmouth Regional Hospital,
Portsmouth, New Hampshire beginning September 25, 2006.
DTVMusic is a music and visual programming service that is
fed through existing cable television systems to provide viewers
with passive music programming and visual stimulation. The
images are from a variety of sources including the National
Archives Records Administration, the Library of Congress,
NASA and Academy Award winning film director, Michael Wadleigh
(Woodstock - 1970)
"DTVMusic provides an attractive alternative to traditional
'over the air' television," said DTVMusic President and
Founder, Rob Connelly. "Patients, visitors and families
at The Portsmouth Regional Hospital are now able to view programming
that is both stimulating and soothing at the same time. Indeed,
for those people who are receiving treatment at Portsmouth,
it is DTVMusic's goal that their experience be as comfortable
as possible."
DTVMusic will provide at no cost to Portsmouth Regional Hospital,
Classical, Spiritual, Acoustic Rock, and Country visual music
on its cable television system. These channels will be seen
throughout patient rooms, outpatient facilities and emergency
waiting areas, serving over 200,000 people per year.
